Friday
Mass took place at 10:00am at English Martyrs' with a Mission sermon and Novena Prayer.
"A Mass to remember our Dead and to recommit ourselves to our Faith."
In the evening we celebrated with a Mass for those gone before us and to recommit ourselves to our faith.
Fr Kieran spoke about life after the Mission and spreading our faith throughout the nation. He also spoke about how our faith makes us stronger when we put our trust in God and ask Him for direction.
We remembered all those who have gone before us including those who had shown us the way of the faith and influenced us in some way during our life in the decisions we make throughout life.
Fr Tom prayed for various intentions and offered our prayers up to Our Lady as we said 'Hail Mary...'
Before the final blessing Fr Kieran spoke about the Mission coming to an end and how we could continue spreading the Word in the future. He thanked the congregation for their welcome and finished by thanking Fr Pat for his hospitality over the week.
Fr Pat finished with a word of thanks to Frs Kieran and Tom and mentioned the influence the Mission had had on the two Parishes.
Fr Pat would like to extend his thanks again to the two Redemptorist Priests, Frs. Kieran Brady and Tom MacCarte, who led us on the journey during the week.
