We might frequently have to think about this question but often answer the question on our day to day routines.
Parishioners from St. Anne's and St Catherine's have been thinking about this question and one way of answering it has been the project, Birmingham Churches Night Shelter which began in February 2016 and is due to run until Easter Sunday. A fundraising dance was held recently in memory of the late Bridget Murphy. All funds raised went to St. Mary's Hospice in Harborne.
Birmingham Irish Association Dementia Group attended Mass at the end of their meeting at St. Anne's Parish Centre.
A charity dance was held in June to support Parishioner, Patrick Hickey, to raise funds to visit Tanzania with his school, St. Thomas Aquinas and help build a school.
Deacon Dominic Risley, our student Priest from this year became Father Dominic after his ordination on 9th July 2016. He was ordained by Archbishop Malcolm McMahon at St. Edward's in Wigan, his Parish Church where he once Altar served and celebrated his first Mass the following morning at the same Church.
A Profession of Faith Procession was held in Digbeth for Parishioners of St. Anne's and other local Parishes. A large group of people joined in the procession as the Blessed Sacrament was carried around the local vicinity. A great way to show locals the strength of the Catholic Faith within the area.
